Stop drinking fake juices

Salt, flavoring, citric acid, malic acid, ascorbic acid…Do you realize how much stuff we find in processed juices? Not only they mislead you with all these labels “100% natural”, “Pure Juice”, they add these weird ingredients that do not sound so natural.

Because the ready-made juice is designed to last for several weeks, the manufacturers have no other choice than adding these preservatives and vitamins to replace the flavor and nutrients the fruit has lost in this process. But seriously, how well is Chemistry supposed to replace nature? Which proof do we have that our body get what it needs by drinking these processed juices and that we are not harming ourselves?

Basically, juice companies are allowed to write “100% juice” even though it contains preservatives.

When you buy orange juice which is pasteurized, it basically sat in huge tanks for up to a year and went through a process of de-oxygenation. If you buy a concentrate juice, it means that the fruit has been heated to create a syrup and then water has been added to it to dilute.

In both cases, the fruit has already lost its natural flavor. Flavor experts are hired to reproduce the flavor of a real juice. Of course, this is fully a chemical process…

Then you have chances of finding GMOs as most manufacturers use genetically modified corn or beets, additional sugar or worst of all : high fructose corn syrup.

So what should you do? How to escape?!

Well first of all, read carefully the labels and avoid anything that does not sound natural to you. Then, if you really want to buy a ready made juice, look for raw, organic, cold-pressed, they will be the best for you.

But really, your best bet is to make your own juice. It’s fun, fresh, tasty and so good for you. Just make sure that you drink it right after you juice it as that’s when you get all the vitamins and minerals.

Buy tons of oranges, grapefruits,citrus fruits and squeeze them up!

If you have a juicer, then ideas are endless. Just throw everything in there! A super simple and great combo is: 5-10 carrots, 1 Orange, a piece of Ginger, 1/2 Lemon.  It is full of vitamin A, C, B6, antioxidants, folate, thiamine, niacin, potassium, manganese and many more.

Just be all natural: your skin will look good, your brain will feel awake, you will feel energized and your whole energy will be shining!
