Let me look straight into your eyes and ask you : Do you floss?
Yes? Oooh how often?
No? Aaaah why not???
If someone asked me this 4 years ago, I would have answered “floss? what are you talking about, is it a new sport or something?’ Seriously, I grew up in France and besides some hidden people, nobody seems to floss there! When I was growing up (not that far ago!), it was definitely not something we were told about at school or at the dentist. I hope it has changed today because yes, we should floss!!!
Well don’t you wonder why you have so much plaque on your teeth? Or where all those tiny salad, peanut and other stuff you just ate went? Even if you brush your teeth 10 times a day, it’s not enough. These little guys are tough and even if your teeth look tight, there is always something hiding in there!
Don’t let them destroy your teeth!
Flossing on a regular basis (ideally after each meal) can help you:
- Get rid of the bacteria hiding in the gaps between your teeth
- Prevent gum disease, tooth decay and cavities as you will not have any build ups
- Help you save money at the dentist!
Flossing is super easy, it might be a little bit painful on your gums at the beginning, start slowly and quickly make it a habit. if your gums are irritated, have a salt water mouth wash.
There are a lot of brands out there, I like Gilde as it is soft and not too expensive. Try different ones and get the one that suits your mouth the best.
Don’t mess with your teeth. It’s not so hard to protect them!
