Inspired by many raw food restaurants, we have decided to grow our own fresh sunflower sprouts. It’s super fun and easy. The result is pretty impressive and the taste of these micro-greens is very unique: kind of nutty!
So there is this very cool video that sums up how to do it:
We have added some extra steps actually:
1st day: soak the sunflower seeds in water
2nd day: rinse, drain and cover with a wet cloth
When you start to see them sprout, you can plant them in a tray with organic soil. Keep the soil moist by gently watering one to 2 times a day.
The result is stunning and delicious! And healthy!
