Lao Lane Xang : Viet, Lao,Thai food in Paris

I was strolling up and down Avenue d’Ivry the other day looking for a vegetarian Vietnamese place, impossible to find!

Then, I remembered this place where I went last year with friends. It is not a vegetarian place per say but they have a very nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Everywhere you see a carrot on the menu can be served vegetarian or vegan! Finally a place where you can go and enjoy with any of your friends, wether they are vegan or not, and eat something else than a salad or a sad curry!

I recommend going there for lunch during the week as you can get the vegetarian platter : 4 nems, rice, green thai curry and salad with a glass of wine (or water or an espresso) for 10,80 euros only. It is more than enough in term of quantity and it is very fresh and tasty.

Otherwise, I am sure that all the dishes are worth trying as the place is known to serve clean and delicious food. We tried the Pad Thai, that of course cannot be compared to the ones we had in Thailand, but it was still quite flavorful and had more vegetables than any other Pad Thai I have had so far.DSC_0398

Lao Lane Xang is a popular spot, they are often full so it’s best to reserve if you plan on going with a group. And the good news is that they have two restaurants across from one another. That’s a sign of success isn’t it?!
